producer | reporter | writer
I am a graduating senior at the University of California Santa Barbara majoring in both Global Studies and Feminist Studies. I am currently immersed in writing my senior honors thesis about the gendered dynamics of popular podcasts.
My goal is to produce transformative audio and written stories in a creative way. I wholeheartedly believe that journalism can be a form of activism, and I strive to report through a lens of social justice and feminism.
I have three years of experience working with my university's radio station, both as a DJ and a news reporter, and I co-created, co-host, and co-produce a feminist podcast, The Left Ovaries. I have also freelanced for the feminist publication Bitch Media, and write for my university's alternative newspaper, The Bottom Line.
When I'm not working to meet a deadline, I am listening to Phoebe Robinson and Jessica Williams' new podcast 2 Dope Queens, dreaming about all of the LPs I want to add to my (very small) collection, or fulfilling Bay Area stereotypes by going to yoga or cooking vegetarian meals.
